Overview

Engine & Drivetrain
Powered by a PACCAR MX-13 rated 455 HP @ 1,600 RPM (governed @ 2,200 RPM) with 1,650 lb-ft of torque @ 900 RPM, 2024-emissions compliant, built on PACCAR's EMUX electronics architecture. Paired with an Allison 4500 RDS-P Rugged Duty Series automatic transmission in a 6-speed configuration with a dash-mounted push-button shifter, RPL20/RPL25 driveline with midship bearing, and a 4.10 rear axle ratio set up for a typical operating speed of 62 MPH. Equipped with an engine compression brake, a PACCAR 25.9 CFM air compressor, a PACCAR 160-amp alternator, a premium PACCAR starter, and (3) 12V dual-purpose batteries (2,190 CCA). Additional engine equipment includes a 2-speed fan clutch, a PACCAR fuel/water separator with extended service interval, a high-efficiency cooling system, dual self-cleaning pre-cleaners, and a single right-hand under-cab SOC exhaust with DPF/SCR. Remote PTO/throttle control is provided via a 12-pin, J1939-equipped connection, with PTO mode control at the cab station and a dash-mounted single-acting electric-over-hydraulic PTO valve. Chassis & Axles
Front axle is a PACCAR FX-20 rated 20,000 lbs with a 4" drop, taper leaf springs, and power steering via a Sheppard HD94 dual-gear unit with a frame-mounted, cooled reservoir; air disc brakes are fitted front and rear. Rear axle is a Meritor RT46-164E rated 46,000 lbs (5/8" wall) with a differential lock and speed interlock. A Watson-Chalin SL13 self-steering pusher axle rated 13,500 lbs (GAWR-assigned at 12,350 lbs) sits 49" from the centerline of the forward drive axle, stows to maximize body clearance, and carries an engineering-approved maximum loaded travel speed of 5 MPH when raised. GVWR is 78,350 lbs (GAWR front 20,000 lbs / first intermediate 12,350 lbs / second intermediate and rear 23,000 lbs each), on a 230" wheelbase with a 6% maximum grade rating. Frame consists of 10-3/4" steel rails at 3/8" thickness with a full steel inner liner, HD iron front spring brackets, and aluminum crossmembers. A 110-gallon aluminum fuel tank (LH under-cab, with a non-slip step) is paired with a 5.5-gallon DEF tank under a polished stainless steel cover (DEF-to-fuel ratio 2:1 or greater); no right-hand tank is furnished. Also equipped with a Bendix ESP electronic stability program (truck/end dump-roll-off calibration), ABS, synthetic axle lubricant, and (2) Holland TH-10050 tow hooks at the EOF.
Suspension
Rear suspension is a Hendrickson HMX EX rated 46,000 lbs with a 54" spread and 70K creep rating, fitted with shock absorbers. Front suspension uses taper leaf springs rated 20,000 lbs with shocks. Cab air suspension is also included.
Cab & Interior
Aluminum VOC 115 BBC day cab with a Metton hood, stainless steel crown and grille with tilt assist, and a Prestige interior finished in Sterling Gray. Seating includes a Peterbilt LX premium-level, air ride, high-back driver seat and a non-adjustable high-back passenger seat, both in Mordura, with driver/passenger armrests and a toolbox under the passenger seat. Multi-function steering wheel with integrated Peterbilt logo, audio, and cruise controls on a tilt/telescoping column. Thermal insulation and SmartSound cab insulation packages are included, along with high-visibility yellow-painted grab handles, a textured NFPA-compliant exterior cab entry grab handle, and vanity mirrors on the sun visors. One-piece curved windshield, fixed one-piece glass rear cab window, power door locks/window lifts, and a combo fresh-air heater/air conditioner. Peterbilt aero mirrors are motorized, heated, and body-color with integrated convex lenses, plus a black-housed look-down mirror over the passenger door. Audio includes a ConcertClass AM/FM/WB radio with a 3.5mm aux input, a 2-speaker package, Bluetooth phone/audio, a USB port, and a Cobra 29 CB radio (center-header mount, LH cowl antenna). Global telematics hardware and ELD wiring provisions (RP1226, 9-pin, J1939) are included, along with a 5-year SmartLINQ remote diagnostics/OTA subscription. The main instrument panel is a 15" digital cluster incorporating engine/PTO hourmeters, turbo boost, percent torque, transmission oil temperature, and air filter restriction readouts, supplemented by round backlit gauges for front and rear drive axle oil temperature, engine oil temperature, fuel filter restriction, tractor brake application, and pusher axle pressure. Additional features include (3) auxiliary dash switches, an ABS off-road switch, a switch to deactivate traction control, auto-reset circuit protection, a dash-mounted cigar lighter/ash cup, a rear-wall map pocket, electric windshield wipers with intermittent feature, a fire extinguisher, a 107 dB backup alarm, and a ship-loose triangle reflector kit.
Body & Equipment
Fitted with a Heritage HS-SP 17' x 54" x 54" end dump body (Body Serial # HS-14738, 162 in overall body height, 6,000 lb max laden weight) and a Binotto 6.5-4-160 telescopic hoist (Serial # S24009385-049), plus an Aero electric flip tarp system. Lighting includes fender-mounted projector-module headlights with integrated turn signals, (5) aero LED marker lights, LED stop/turn/tail/backup lighting (flange mounted), self-canceling turn signals, daytime running lights, and pre-wired provisions for a beacon/strobe at the rear sill. Body connections are set up at 5' BOC with a 7-way EOF socket strapped to the rail. An aluminum space-saver battery box (RH BOC, side access) and an aluminum non-slip aftertreatment step are fitted at the cab entry. Front bumper is a tapered, polished aluminum unit with 2 tow points and a heavy-duty external tow eye. Finished in a two-stage Axalta paint system — White on the cab, hood, hood top, fenders, and cab roof, with a Black frame.
