Overview
This new 2027 Peterbilt 567 conventional day cab is spec’d as a construction dump truck for on/off-highway service. It carries a 16'6" TEBCO TCM Series steel end dump body. The chassis has a 228" wheelbase, a 141.8" cab-to-axle measurement, and a 79,500 lb GVWR and GCW. The white cab pairs with a black dump body.
Engine & Drivetrain
Power comes from a PACCAR MX-13 rated at 455 HP at 1,600 RPM, governed at 2,200 RPM, with 1,650 lb-ft of torque at 900 RPM. The engine is 2024-emissions and CARB emission compliant, and the powertrain is optimized for performance in vocational and heavy GCWR applications. It is backed by an Allison 4500 RDS-P Gen 6 Rugged Duty Series automatic in a 6-speed configuration. The transmission uses a TC-571 torque converter and a dash-mounted push-button shifter, shifts to neutral at stop, and goes to auto-neutral when the parking brake is set.
Supporting equipment includes a PACCAR compression brake with controls on the right-hand column, a PACCAR 160-amp alternator, and a PACCAR premium starter. The electrical system has three PACCAR premium 12V batteries (2,190 CCA), a Kissling 300A power disconnect switch, and a low-voltage disconnect system. Cooling and air handling include a 2-speed fan clutch for frequent start/stop duty, a high-efficiency cooling system, dual self-cleaning under-hood pre-cleaners, and a firewall-mounted air cleaner. The engine also has a WABCO 25.9 CFM air compressor, a PACCAR fuel/water separator with extended service interval, and a 110-120V immersion block heater.
Exhaust is a single right-hand system with the DPF/SCR in a single module under the cab. It exits through an 18" tall, 5" diameter chrome curved-tip standpipe. PTO provisions include cab-station PTO mode control, a 12-pin remote PTO/throttle connection in the engine bay, a dash-mounted electric-over-hydraulic PTO control, and a park brake interlock for the transmission-mounted PTO. The driveline uses an RPL25 SD main driveline with one midship bearing and an RPL20 interaxle driveline. Typical operating speed is set at 68 MPH.
Chassis & Axles
The frame uses 10-3/4" steel rails to 354" at 3/8" thickness, with a full steel inner liner. It has heavy-duty iron front spring brackets, aluminum crossmembers, and a square end of frame for the body builder’s crossmember. Recovery points include two Holland TH-10050 tow hooks at the end of frame, a heavy-duty external tow eye, and a tapered chrome steel bumper with two tow points.
Up front is a PACCAR FX-20 wide-track steer axle rated at 20,000 lbs with a 4" drop. It has PHP10 iron Preset+ hubs, Bendix ADB22X air disc brakes, and greasable spring pins. Steering is TRW THP60 dual-gear power steering with a frame-mounted reservoir and cooler.
The rear axle is a Meritor RT46-164E rated at 46,000 lbs with 5/8" wall housings and a 4.10 ratio. It has a tandem differential lock with speed interlock, Bendix ADB22X air disc brakes, and PHP10 aluminum Preset+ hubs. A Hendrickson EXS13 self-steering pusher axle rated at 13,500 lbs is mounted 49" from the center of the forward drive axle. The pusher has aluminum Preset+ hubs with cast drums, its own air tank, and an in-dash lift axle regulator and gauge, and it stows low when lifted to maximize body clearance.
Ratings are GAWR front 20,000 lbs, pusher 13,500 lbs, and 23,000 lbs on each drive axle, for a 79,500 lb GVWR. Maximum grade rating is 6%. Braking adds 6S6M ABS with an off-road switch, a pneumatic park brake, and an SBM valve. The truck also has tire pressure monitoring and synthetic lubricant in all axles.
Suspension
The rear suspension is a Hendrickson HMX EX 460 HaulMaax rated at 46,000 lbs, with a 54" axle spread, a 70K creep rating, and dedicated shock absorbers. The front uses taper leaf springs rated at 20,000 lbs with Tenneco shocks. The cab rides on cab air suspension.
Cab & Interior
The VOC 115" BBC aluminum day cab has a Metton hood, a stainless steel crown and grille with tilt assist, and a thermal insulation package. Inside is the Prestige interior in Sterling Gray with black seating. The driver seat is a Peterbilt LX premium air ride high-back in Mordura with left and right armrests. The passenger seat is a Peterbilt ST high-back in Mordura with a toolbox underneath. The multi-function steering wheel has audio and cruise controls and sits on a tilt/telescoping column.
