    About The Mack Anthem

The Mack Anthem, first introduced in September 2017, serves as a replacement for the Mack Pinnacle axle back model. One of the hallmarks of this Class 8, on-highway truck is that Mack designed nearly every exterior component with aerodynamics in mind. The roof fairings, hood, bumper, cover tow loops, air dam, and close-out flange all reduce wind resistance and help the Anthem slice through the air. This not only gives the Anthem its distinct look, but also helps improve fuel efficiency.

    Cab, Engine & Transmission Options

The Anthem is available as a day cab, 48-inch Flat Top Sleeper, or 70-inch Stand Up Sleeper. You have the choice of an 11-liter MP7, 13-liter MP8, or 13-liter MP8-TC engine. The MP8, as an example, can product up to 505 horsepower and 1,860 pounds foot of torque. Transmission options include Maxitorque ES and Eaton Fuller manual transmissions, mDRIVE and mDRIVE HD automated manual transmissions, and the Allison 4000 Series automatic transmission. Depending on the configuration, the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the Anthem is between 35,000 and 62,000 pounds, and it can support a gross combination weight (GCW) of over 80,000 pounds.

    Interior Design

The Mack Anthem’s interior features a flat-bottom steering wheel with built-in controls for cruise control, hands-free calling, and audio; the five-inch Mack Co-Pilot display for quick access to important truck information; and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports satellite radio and GPS navigation and serves as a display for an optional back-up camera. The 70-inch Stand Up Sleeper cab is tall enough for drivers to walk from the driver’s seat to the sleeper space, which has ample room for amenities, like a television, refrigerator, or microwave.

    Other Features & Options

You’ll see Anthem models in a wide range of colors, including Mack Black, Arctic White, Lacquer Red, Cobalt Blue, and Mountain Green, and with different exterior trims, like Bold Black or Mirror Chrome Bright. Interior options include a single bunk with lower storage, a single bunk with full storage, and a double bunk with full storage. There are also various ultra, premium, and standard trim packages for the dash, seats, and steering wheel. Because they are highly customizable, it’s important to pay close attention to the features included in used Mack Anthem trucks to ensure you get everything you’re looking for.
