    About TICO

Terminal Investment Corp., better known as TICO, is unique in the industry as both an operator and maintainer, as well as a manufacturer, of terminal tractors for sale. The company began in 1946 serving the bus transportation industry and branched out to the port transportation industry in the 1960s and 1970s. Today, it provides services and equipment to the port, terminal, distribution, logistics, and intermodal transportation areas.

TICO began manufacturing its own tractors for port equipment rental in the 1980s and now operates the largest terminal tractor fleet in North America. It also offers those same Pro-Spotter tractors for sale in the retail market, so it’s directly involved with research and development and offers a dedication to quality that TICO says sets it apart from other manufacturers in the terminal tractor market.

Pro-Spotter terminal tractors come in both on- and off-highway models with standard options such as 65-gallon fuel tanks and an automatic open-close air-operated rear door designed to save time and labor. The manufacturer also has been building a line of alternative-fuel terminal tractors, including ones powered by compressed natural gas.
