    About Landscape Trucks

    Isuzu NPR HD Landscape Truck

Hauling equipment and/or organic materials to and from a jobsite is an integral part of the landscaping business. The multitude of tasks landscapers perform require a range of special tools, machinery, and materials. Having the right truck to move them is crucial to the landscaper’s success. Stake bed trucks and flatbed trucks are frequent choices for landscape professionals. Trucks with aluminum or steel landscaping dumps can transport and unload dirt, wood chips, and other organic materials. For moving equipment, stake bed trucks are a frequent choice, especially those equipped with ramp gates to quickly load and unload machines on wheels. For items that require protection from the weather, a truck with a van body, or a stake bed or dump truck with an electric roll tarp are good options.

    Types Of Landscape Trucks

Landscape trucks come in a variety of sizes with bodies made for hauling equipment or materials. These trucks commonly have a length of 12 to 16 feet (3.6 to 4.8 meters) and a gross vehicle weight somewhere between 12,000 and 16,000 pounds (5,400 to 7,200 kilograms) to give landscapers plenty of options when moving between jobs. Typical bodies include flatbeds, stake beds, dovetails, and dumps with steel or aluminum construction designed for light- and medium-duty tasks. Isuzu’s NPR is a popular choice, as its cabover design provides good visibility, it’s easy to maneuver in tight spaces, and it’s available with either standard or crew cabs. Many landscapers also employ pickups for carrying smaller tools and towing trailers.
