GMC Sierra All Mountain Concept Debuts At Vail
Some of the coolest concept vehicles come from the wildest ideas, and that’s no different with the 2018 GMC Sierra 2500HD All Mountain concept truck. Built on a frame similar to the GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali 4WD Crew Cab, this snow-climber has Mattracks 150 Series Tracks, with a GMC Red paint finish, in place of tires, which makes it perfect for navigating through tough terrain. Aside from the tracks and the unique look of it all, the 2500HD All Mountain also has a Duramax 6.6L Turbo Diesel V8 engine that comes complete with 445 horsepower and 910 lb.-ft. of torque. Needless to say, if you’re goal is to get to places not many other vehicles can reach, this truck is more than up for the challenge.
Innovative Inside & Out
Perhaps the most interesting thing about the 2018 GMC Sierra 2500HD All Mountain concept vehicle is that it’s a series of components from companies that are leaders in their respective industries. You have interior and exterior elements of the GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali as the base, the Mattracks 150 Series tracks, snowboard racks and other accessories from Thule, an amplifier and dual pod speaker kit from KICKER, and an Allison 1000 six-speed automatic transmission. This truck is built not only for operating in snowy climates, but also for offering entertainment and comfort along the way.
Where To See It
If you want to take a look at the GMC Sierra All Mountain sometime soon, then you’ll need to get yourself to Vail, Colorado. GMC has an exclusive partnership with Vail Resorts, Inc., as well as partnerships with the Vail Valley Foundation and the Town of Vail, proper, so if you decide to take a trip to Colorado, chances are you’ll see it during special events and in displays.
