Used Medium-Duty Truck Inventory Levels Rise As Summer Sales Slow
The new Sandhills Global market report covering July data for used medium-duty trucks on TruckPaper.com and other Sandhills platforms shows inventory slowing month over month. Inventory levels were down 6.17% M/M in July, up 9.37% year over year, and are trending sideways.
Used moving box trucks led other categories in M/M inventory declines with an 11.59% drop. Used reefer box trucks led other medium-duty truck categories in YOY inventory gains, posting an 80.59% increase.
“Historically, the medium-duty truck market has experienced flatter sales during the summer months, and that appears to be the case this year as well, with inventory levels trending higher as a result,” says Scott Lubischer, Truck Paper manager.
