Used Day Cab Trucks Driving Heavy-Duty Truck Inventory & Value Decreases
The new Sandhills Global market reports covering November data for used heavy-duty trucks on TruckPaper.com and other Sandhills platforms show that used day cab trucks are experiencing the largest drop in inventory levels, as well as the largest year-over-year decreases in asking and auction values.
Used heavy-duty truck asking values dipped month over month but stayed mostly flat YOY. Used sleeper trucks saw the largest M/M asking value decline, while used day cabs saw the largest YOY drop.
According to Truck Paper manager Scott Lubischer, “Day cabs face the toughest market conditions, with prices approaching double-digit declines compared to last year. By contrast, used sleeper truck inventory continues to see steady growth across all U.S. regions, maintaining an upward trend.”
