    About Mack Trucks

With roots dating back to 1890, the Mack Trucks brand has a long history of motor vehicle innovation. Mack’s first successful vehicle was the Mack bus, a 40-horsepower (30-kilowatt) vehicle with a 20-passenger capacity introduced in 1900. Mack’s early slogan reflected the vehicle’s popularity, with advertisements that read, “The first Mack was a bus and the first bus was a Mack.” After converting the Mack bus into a truck, the company found a new path as a leading innovator of truck technology, introducing modern truck staples like advanced air cleaners and oil filters, power brakes, and shock absorbers. Today, Mack continues to invent and incorporate the latest technology into its trucks, which feature model families for both on- and off-highway use in a variety of industries.

    Mack Anthem

    Anthem

In 2017, Mack introduced the Anthem, which replaced the Pinnacle axle back model. The Anthem is a Class 8, on-highway truck designed with aerodynamics in mind. For example, the roof fairings, hood, bumper, cover tow loops, air dam, and close-out flange all reduce wind resistance and help the Anthem slice through the air. Mack equips the Anthem with features designed to improve fuel efficiency, such as its Predictive Cruise Control with Econo-Roll and the HE+ fuel efficiency package, which works with the powerful Mack MP8HE engine and Mack’s Energy Recovery Technology to capture the waste energy from the engine’s exhaust and convert it into additional torque.

    Granite

The Granite is proof positive of Mack’s skill in engineering heavy-duty platforms expressly for use in particular construction and vocational truck markets. Buyers can select a Granite day cab truck pre-fitted with a standard mixer, a bridge mixer, a lift axle dump, a conventional dump, a rear loader, or a hydraulic roll off hoist, ready to load up and roll onto the jobsite. A variety of power options are available to optimize your Granite for a particular application; Mack Granite mixers, for instance, can include an 11LMP7 or 13LMP8 engine ranging from 325 to 505 HP (242 to 376 kW).

    LR

Mack’s LR is built for the refuse and recycling industries; it features a large windshield and windows in the door to reduce blind spots and make everyone near the truck safer as it operates in residential and urban environments. Drivers and crew members appreciate the trucks’ low cab floor and low step height for quick entry and exit. Mack also offers an LR Electric that helps refuse customers meet sustainability goals and provides much quieter operation. The fully electric Class 8 vehicle can be fitted with equipment bodies from numerous manufacturers based on a customer’s needs. The LR Electric has four lithium-ion batteries and two motors that produce up to 448 HP (334 kW) of continuous power and 4,051 pounds-foot (5,492 newton-meters) of torque.

    Pinnacle

Mack introduced the Pinnacle in 2006, replacing the Vision as Mack’s leading option for hauling applications. The Mack Anthem replaced the axle-back Pinnacle variant in 2017, but the axle-forward Pinnacle continues to be a reliable and proven platform for regional and bulk hauling. And with its lightweight and maneuverable design, powerful Pinnacle configurations can handle heavy loads. Mack regularly upgrades the Pinnacle with modern amenities, such as the Bendix Wingman Fusion driving assistance system, to enhance the truck’s on-highway capabilities and make drivers’ lives easier.

    Super-Liner

The Super-Liner was produced in North America from 1977 to 1993, and used models of this truck can still be found today. The Super-Liner was Mack’s flagship for much of its North America production run, and Mack Trucks Australia continues to manufacture the truck. The Super-Liner’s appearance in film and TV, which includes inspiration for the character “Mack” in the movie Cars, makes the Super-Liner an undisputable Mack Trucks icon.
